Colin William Taylor is a Professor in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Cambridge. His research focuses on intracellular signalling, calcium channels, and biophysics. He has held significant roles such as Wellcome Trust Senior Investigator and has been affiliated with Downing College and St. John's College. Taylor has extensive editorial experience, including roles with the Biochemical Journal and Gordon Research Conferences on Calcium Signaling. He has secured major grants from Wellcome Trust, BBSRC, and MRC. Taylor has mentored 35 PhD students and 34 postdoctoral fellows, many of whom have secured senior positions or fellowships.
