Taya Collyer is a Senior Research Fellow at Monash University’s Peninsula Clinical School. Her work focuses on aging-related health issues, including dementia rehabilitation, stroke survivor outcomes, and allied health interventions. She contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and well-being.
Her research spans clinical trials, policy evaluations, and data infrastructure projects. Notable collaborations include investigating Early Supported Discharge services for stroke survivors and addressing stigma in dementia care through the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF)-funded initiative.
Key research interests include: gait speed as a dementia predictor, healthcare consumer acceptability of quality-of-life metrics, and leveraging electronic health records for dementia detection.
