Tatyana Bystrova-McIntyre

Tatyana Bystrova-McIntyre is an Associate Professor of Russian and Translation at Kent State University (KSU), located in Kent, Ohio. She holds a Ph.D. in Translation Studies from KSU (2012), along with an undergraduate degree in linguistics and foreign language pedagogy from Tver State University, and Master's degrees in Russian translation and TESL from KSU. Her research focuses on corpus linguistics applied to translation studies, particularly analyzing cohesion and punctuation differences between Russian and English texts.

She teaches Russian and translation courses (traditional and online) since 2003 and has been involved with the KSU STARTALK Foreign Language Academy since 2007, currently serving as Curriculum Advisor and Russian Lead Instructor. She has been a freelance translator since 1999 and a translation quality assurance reviewer since 2009. Her work emphasizes technology integration in language education and reflective practices in translator training.
