Daniel McIntyre is Professor of English Language and Linguistics at the Department of English, Uppsala University, where he holds the Chair in English Language. His academic career spans over two decades with significant contributions to stylistics, corpus linguistics, and the history of the English language. McIntyre has established himself as a leading scholar whose work bridges theoretical linguistics with practical applications across multiple domains including literature, film, political discourse, and forensic analysis.
McIntyre completed his BA, MA, and PhD degrees in linguistics at Lancaster University, UK. Before pursuing his doctorate, he taught English as a foreign language in northern Italy.
