Tasos Barkatsas

Dr. Tasos Barkatsas is a Senior Lecturer in Mathematics, Statistics and STEM Education at RMIT University's School of Education. He leads the STEM, Industry and Learning Sciences research theme, and previously founded the RMIT Master of Teaching Practice programs. His roles include:

• Editor-in-Chief of Brill's Global Education in the 21st Century book series
• Visiting Professor at National University of Athens, Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, and University of Salamanca
• Editorial Board member for Frontiers in Education, Journal of Global Education and Research, and Higher Education Research and Development

Research interests focus on:

• Mathematics and STEM pedagogy
• Gifted student education
• Teacher mentoring systems
• Cognitive/affective dimensions in learning
• Assessment innovation
