Juan Manuel Castro Carracedo

Juan Manuel Castro Carracedo is a Lecturer in English Philology within the Faculty of Education at the University of Salamanca. He is an active member of three interdisciplinary research groups: Active learning & Higher Education, GLOBES21 – Global Education and Skills for the 21st Century, and ICS – Innovation in Social Sciences.

His research centres on the intersection of medieval English literature and apocalyptic thought, while simultaneously exploring pedagogical innovation, active learning methodologies, and the development of global competencies for 21st-century learners. He integrates insights from social-science innovation to enhance higher-education practice.
