Tarja Väyrynen is a Professor of Peace and Conflict Research at Tampere Peace Research Institute (TAPRI), Faculty of Social Sciences, Tampere University. She holds the role of Head of the Peace and Conflict Research discipline and serves as Vice-chair of the Research Council for Culture and Society at the Academy of Finland.
