Tara Black is an Assistant Professor at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work (FIFSW) at the University of Toronto, appointed since October 2013 on a contractually limited-term basis (CLTA). Prior to this, she served as a Sessional Lecturer at FIFSW for three years. With over 15 years of child welfare experience, her roles include front-line child protection work, co-managing the 2008 Canadian Incidence Study of Reported Child Abuse and Neglect (CIS-2008), and managing the Ontario Child Abuse and Neglect Data Systems (OCANDS) project at the University of Toronto.
