Tara Adams Ragone is an Assistant Professor at Seton Hall University School of Law's Center for Health & Pharmaceutical Law. Her research focuses on health care access, mental health parity, and legal frameworks for integrating behavioral and physical health care. She advises New Jersey government bodies like the NJ CARES office and serves as faculty supervisor for the Health Law Semester in Washington, D.C.
Education includes a B.A. from William & Mary (summa cum laude) and a J.D. from NYU Law (magna cum laude). She clerked for federal judges and previously prosecuted licensing cases as Deputy Attorney General in New Jersey.
Research interests include health privacy law (particularly cloud computing challenges), sustainability of community health workers, and mental health parity implementation. She co-authored influential reports on New Jersey's behavioral health parity law and Medicaid ACO structures.
Notable awards include the Root-Tilden-Kern Scholarship and Order of the Coif membership. Teaching focuses on mental health law, patient care law, and health law practice skills.
