Tao Li is an Associate Professor of Information Systems & Analytics at the Leavey School of Business, Santa Clara University, and Director of the MS Program in Business Analytics. He holds tenure and co-leads the Prometheus Lab for AI and Business. His research focuses on AI's impact on business operations, sustainable supply chains, and strategic sourcing. He teaches courses in Machine Learning, Data Analytics, and Operations Management.
Dr. Li earned his Ph.D. from The University of Texas at Dallas in 2012 and has since received multiple awards including the Leavey School Extraordinary Research Award and ACE Outstanding Faculty Award. His work is supported by grants from Santa Clara University and Leavey Research.
He advises projects with companies like Amazon Web Services, Roblox, and Adobe, focusing on AI applications, cost analysis, and marketing optimization. His editorial roles include Senior Editor at Production and Operations Management and Associate Editor at Decision Sciences.
