Tanya Grueva

Associate Professor Tanya Grueva holds a Ph.D. and is affiliated with the Faculty of Public Health, Health Care and Tourism at the National Academy “Vasil Levski”, where she teaches courses on musculoskeletal physiotherapy, orthopedic rehabilitation, and clinical practice supervision. She has extensive clinical experience as a physiotherapist in private practices and medical centers, including roles in Spain and Bulgaria.

Her educational background includes a Bachelor’s (2002) and Master’s (2005) in Physiotherapy from NSA/Sofia and KU Leuven, followed by a PhD in 2015 focused on closed kinetic chain exercises post-ACL reconstruction. She has held academic roles since 2010, advancing to Associate Professor in 2022. Her research emphasizes ACL rehabilitation, proprioceptive training, and musculoskeletal dysfunction.

Key publications include works on postural stability in ACL patients, proprioceptive training efficacy, and orthopedic rehabilitation protocols. She is a member of the Association of Physiotherapists (AFB) and its ethics committee. Her pedagogical focus includes functional assessment methods and clinical training supervision for kinesiotherapy students.
