Tanya Davison is an Adjunct Professor (Research) in the Department of Design at Monash University. Her work focuses on mental health interventions in aged care, blood donation psychology, and dementia care. She leads projects such as the EMBED trial addressing depression in home aged care, and the PEARL program improving adjustment for aged care residents. Davison collaborates internationally on transfusion medicine and knowledge translation research.
Her research interests include geriatric mental health, depression interventions, and optimizing blood donation systems. She has secured grants from the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and UNSW, leading projects since 2014. Key contributions include systematic reviews on psychological therapies for elderly depression and studies on donor behavior in blood donation.
Davison’s publications span 2005–2025, with recent focus on virtual reality applications for donor training, donor retention strategies, and dementia-friendly transition guidelines.
