معرفی
Tanja Kallio is an Associate Professor at Aalto University's Department of Chemistry and Materials. Her research focuses on electrochemical energy conversion and storage systems, particularly in advancing lithium-ion batteries, polymer electrolyte membranes, and electrocatalysts. She leads studies on atomic layer deposition (ALD) for stabilizing battery electrodes and improving interfacial properties. Her work also explores supercapacitors, fuel cells, and novel nanomaterials for energy applications.
Key research areas include the design of high-voltage cathodes, lithium metal anodes, and electrochemical CO2 reduction systems. She has contributed to the development of sustainable electrode materials derived from biomass and advanced solid-state electrolytes. Kallio collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to address challenges in energy storage efficiency and material stability.
