Ville Miikkulainen is a Professor at Aalto University's School of Chemical Engineering, affiliated with the Department of Chemistry and Materials Science and the Atomically Controlled Materials Engineering group. His research focuses on atomic layer deposition (ALD) for energy storage applications, particularly in improving lithium-ion battery performance through advanced coatings and interfacial engineering. He also explores nanotechnology for piezoelectric devices and surface science techniques like ambient pressure XPS.
