Tanja Gustafsson is a Lecturer at the University of Borås, affiliated with the Faculty of Caring Science, Work Life and Social Welfare and the Department of Caring Science. She holds a doctorate in Caring Science, focusing on person-centred communication and its implementation in municipal home care. Her research emphasizes improving communication skills among nursing assistants to enhance patient well-being and healthcare quality.
Her doctoral work involved the PERSON-CENTRED COMMUNICATION intervention (ACTION), evaluating web-based training for nursing assistants. This project aimed to address communication challenges in home care settings through evidence-based strategies. She collaborates with a research group dedicated to translating research into practical healthcare improvements.
