Dr. Tanesha Rorie serves as an Associate Professor of Counseling and Human Development within the School of Social & Behavioral Sciences at Malone University, bringing over 10 years of teaching experience while maintaining an active private counseling practice.
Her academic credentials include:
- Ph.D. from Kent State University
- M.A. from The Ohio State University
- B.A. from The Ohio State University
Research focuses on critical intersections of cross-cultural counseling, social justice advocacy, Black mental health experiences, sports counseling, and postpartum mental health, with scholarly contributions published in leading journals including the Journal of Counseling and Development and Journal of Multicultural Counseling and Development.
Professional leadership encompasses presidency of the Ohio Association for Counselor Education & Supervision, complemented by frequent presentations at local, state, and national conferences across the counseling discipline.
