Tamsin Saxton is a Professor in the Psychology Department at Northumbria University, where she has been since 2012. Her research adopts an evolutionary perspective to explore human behavior, focusing on mate choice, biological traits in interpersonal perceptions, and chemosignals in social interactions. She holds a PhD in Psychology (2005) from an unspecified institution, alongside an MSc (2004) and a BA in French Literature (1996). Currently, she is a Leverhulme Trust Research Fellow investigating odour's role in parent-infant bonding. Her work spans 42 publications, including studies on loneliness measurement equivalence, cross-modal attractiveness associations, and social media anxiety.
