Tamsin Jones is an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Monash University. She holds a PhD from the University of Sydney (2021) focusing on Minimum Practice Standards for Australian Graduate Emergency Nursing Programs. Her research interests span nursing education, emergency care standards, and clinical practice frameworks, with a focus on improving patient outcomes and workforce development.
She has contributed to projects such as the Review of Registered Nurse Standards for Practice and collaborative initiatives with Indonesian nursing professionals to enhance bilateral cooperation. Jones is also a CENA Victorian Branch Committee Member since 2012, reflecting her engagement with professional nursing organizations.
Her publications emphasize patient assessment frameworks, emergency department resource management, and nursing education strategies. Recent work includes analyzing the impact of nursing assessment tools on inpatients and exploring ecstasy drug consumption's effects on emergency care resources.
As a supervisor, she has guided projects on emergency department resource use and clinical nurse roles. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to quality education and good health.
