Dr. Tamer AL-GHRAIYBAH is a Nurse Lecturer at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), School of Nursing and Midwifery, appointed since August 2023. He holds a PhD from the University of Wollongong (2019–2024). His research focuses on nursing-sensitive indicators, patient safety, quality of care, and healthcare risk management, guided by the Donabedian model. He bridges clinical experience in ICU and risk management with academic roles in teaching and research.
- Affiliations: UTS Faculty of Health, WHO Collaborating Centre for Nursing and Midwifery (collaboration with Fiji National University).
Research Interests: Examines how nursing structures and processes impact patient outcomes such as mortality, infections, pressure injuries, falls, and medication errors. Explores nurse staffing, overtime, hand hygiene, and data integrity in healthcare surveys.
Teaching: Leads undergraduate courses like Foundation of Nursing Practice and postgraduate subject Recognising and Responding to Acute Deterioration. Integrates clinical expertise into education.
- Future Work: Aims to supervise master’s students from 2025 onwards, focusing on capacity building in nursing and health systems improvement.
