Tamara J. Moore is a Professor of Engineering Education and University Faculty Scholar at Purdue University's College of Engineering. Her research focuses on integrated STEM education, particularly in K-12 and postsecondary settings, emphasizing curriculum development, teacher professional development, and student learning in integrated environments. She leads the epiSTEMic research laboratory, which collaborates globally to advance STEM education through projects like PictureSTEM and EngrTEAMS.
Dr. Moore has received significant recognition, including the NSF Early Faculty Career Award (PECASE) and the University Faculty Scholar distinction. Her work spans NSF-funded initiatives such as the EngrTEAMS project, which develops engineering-based curricula for grades 4-8, and the PECASE grant focused on K-12 engineering standards integration.
Her research interests include computational thinking in early childhood, engineering design-based science curricula, and the role of contextual learning in STEM education.
