Talib Dosani, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Oncology and Hematology at Yale School of Medicine. He is affiliated with Horstmann House and Yale Cancer Center. His clinical expertise includes medical oncology, hematology, and the management of hematologic malignancies such as multiple myeloma and myelodysplastic syndromes.
Dr. Dosani completed his MD at the University of Florida College of Medicine (2015), followed by residency in Internal Medicine at University Hospitals Cleveland (2018) and a Hematology/Oncology fellowship at Yale (2021). He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology.
His research focuses on optimizing hematologic patient care through electronic consultation models, improving supportive care for myelodysplastic syndromes, and studying immune biomarkers in multiple myeloma prognosis. He has published extensively on topics including healthcare systems optimization, bone health in myeloma patients, and clinical trial outcomes for novel therapies.
Dr. Dosani has received notable awards including the Yale Cancer Center’s Research Excellence Prize (2021) and the David S. Fischer Teaching Award (2023). He actively contributes to quality improvement initiatives, such as reducing inappropriate thrombophilia testing in VA Connecticut and enhancing perioperative hematologic consultation protocols.
His clinical work integrates ambulatory oncology care at the Douglas Moore Health Center and academic contributions through Yale’s Department of Internal Medicine.
