Takács Attila serves as an Assistant Professor at the Department of English Language and Literature within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Miskolc. Takács Attila's research focuses on the intersection of cultural exploration, media representation, and indigenous narratives. His work centers on Canadian Indigenous Peoples and Native American representations, examining how media shapes cultural understanding and exploring cinematic narratives as vehicles for representation. His research encompasses stereotype deconstruction, media portrayals, and the relationship between cultural studies and film.
His academic pursuits coalesce at the crossroads of cultural exploration, media representation, and the profound narratives woven by indigenous communities, with a particular emphasis on Canadian Indigenous Peoples and Native American representations.
Dr. Takács has developed an extensive list of thesis topics reflecting his deep engagement with indigenous studies, covering areas such as cultural revival, film identity, Hollywood representations, ethnographic approaches, residential school experiences, and indigenous knowledge systems.
He maintains office hours on Thursdays and Fridays by appointment only and is actively involved in academic advising within the Department of English Language and Literature at the University of Miskolc.
