Tuğba Uygun is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics Education at Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University's Faculty of Education. She has held academic roles since 2010, including Research Assistant at Yuzuncuyil University (2013–2010), Bartın University (2017–2013), and Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (2022–2017). She completed her doctorate in Primary Education from the Middle East Technical University (2016) and her master's in Primary Mathematics Teaching from Yuzuncuyil University (2012).
Her research focuses on Mathematics Education, Educational Technology, and Teacher Training. Key themes include TPACK development with Web 2.0 tools, geometry pedagogy, teacher efficacy beliefs, and the role of eye-tracking in identifying misconceptions. She has led projects such as "The Effects of Concept Cartoon-Supported STEM Activities" (2018–2020) and "A Design Study for Web 2.0 Tools in Mathematics Teacher Training" (2020–2021).
Recent publications explore teacher noticing through video analysis, the impact of creative drama on pedagogical skills, and the mediation of math anxiety via school climate. Her work emphasizes integrating technology and constructivist practices to enhance student learning and teacher professional development.
