T. Russell Crook is the current dean and E. J. Ourso Distinguished Professor of Business at Louisiana State University's E. J. Ourso College of Business. He leads the college's strategic direction, focusing on impactful research, innovative business education, and fostering industry-academia partnerships. Previously, he served as the First Horizon Foundation Distinguished Business Professor and Head of the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship at the University of Tennessee's Haslam College of Business.

- Former President of the Southern Management Association
His research and teaching emphasize strategy, entrepreneurship, and bridging academic theory with real-world business challenges. Crook's work has resulted in over 40 publications in strategic management fields.
Crook has received multiple awards for teaching excellence, service, and leadership, including the L.R. Hesler Award and Bank of America Faculty Leadership Award. He also advises organizational leaders on strategic planning and execution.
Before academia, Crook held roles in strategic planning and global procurement at American Airlines, US Airways, and IBM. He actively volunteers in community initiatives, such as the Community Coalition Against Human Trafficking.
