T. Jackie Cuevas

Associate Professor T. Jackie Cuevas is affiliated with the College of Liberal Arts, specializing in Chicanx and Latinx literatures with critical intersections in queer theory, gender variant critique, and US-Mexico borderlands studies. Her teaching portfolio spans interdisciplinary courses including Latinx Literature, Queer of Color Critique, and LGBTQ Studies across Women's and Gender Studies (WGS), English (E), and Mexican American Studies (MAS) departments.

Her scholarship centers on decolonial and queer perspectives in borderland narratives, exemplified by her monograph Post-Borderlandia: Chicana Literature and Gender Variant Critique and poetry chapbook Otherhood, USA. As co-editor of El Mundo Zurdo 4, she amplifies Chicana feminist discourse through the Macondo Writers Workshop. Her pedagogy integrates community engagement across universities, high schools, and detention centers.
