Sören Andersson is a Professor of Medical Science at Örebro University, affiliated with the School of Medical Sciences and the Department of Medical Sciences. He holds a PhD in Medicine from Karolinska Institutet (1999) and was promoted to Docent (2006) and Professor at Örebro University (2015). His career includes roles at the World Health Organization, Swedish Institute for Communicable Disease Control (Smi), and Örebro University Hospital, where he led the Department of Laboratory Medicine until 2020.
