Sze-chuan Suen

Sze-chuan Suen is an Assistant Professor at the Daniel J. Epstein Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, University of Southern California, and a faculty member at the USC Schaeffer Center for Health Policy and Economics. They joined USC in 2016 and hold affiliations with institutions including the LA County Department of Public Health and the USC Keck School of Medicine.

Their research focuses on developing innovative models to address healthcare challenges through simulation, dynamic systems modeling, cost-effectiveness analysis, and decision analysis. Key applications include tackling drug-resistant tuberculosis in resource-constrained settings and analyzing demographic/technological shifts in healthcare policy.

They are an active member of INFORMS and the Society for Medical Decision Making, with notable recognition including the NSF CAREER Award (2023) and multiple INFORMS Health Applications Society awards.
