Sylvie Viglino

Sylvie Viglino is an Associate Professor and Lecturer in Italian language, literature, and civilization at Jean Monnet University of Saint-Étienne. Her research focuses on 20th-century Italian realistic literature, nationalist intellectuals, and the interplay between culture and politics. She holds a Doctorate in Italian Studies from Sorbonne Nouvelle Paris III (1999) and has extensive academic credentials, including an Aggregation in Italian (1984). Her work bridges literary analysis with socio-political contexts, particularly exploring the ‘letteratura d’azienda’ and the role of Olivetti’s corporate culture in shaping narratives. She has co-organized conferences on Futurism and contributed to editorial projects on Benito Mussolini’s writings. Viglino has served on academic committees, including the Agrégation jury for Italian (2016–2018).
