Laura Singeot

Laura Singeot is a Lecturer at the MMI department of the IUT of Troyes, affiliated with the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne. She serves as Head of International Relations since 2022 and participates in jury roles for external English aggregation exams. Her research focuses on Contemporary Indigenous Visual Arts, Postcolonial studies, and South Pacific Literature with a particular emphasis on Australia and Aotearoa-New Zealand. She earned a Doctorate from Paris Nanterre University (2018) and holds degrees from Paris III Sorbonne Nouvelle and Monash University. Her teaching spans Visual Studies, English-speaking cultures, and curatorial practices. Her publications critically examine Indigenous representation in literature, museums, and visual arts, challenging colonial epistemologies. She co-edited works on Alexis Wright's Carpentaria and contributed to peer-reviewed journals analyzing Indigenous narratives across multiple mediums.

Recent articles analyze post-apocalyptic Indigenous fiction and digital art's role in cultural reclamation.

Teaching responsibilities include leading courses on Pacific literature, museum practices, and cultural mediation. She advises on international academic collaborations through her administrative role.
