Sylvia Nassar

Sylvia Nassar is a Professor and Coordinator of Research Methods Courses at the Department of Educational Leadership, Policy, and Human Development, North Carolina State University. Her career spans over decades in roles as scholar, leader, educator, and mentor, focusing on capacity-building, sustainability, and best practices in education, mental health, and global development. She holds master’s and doctoral degrees in counseling and human development and has worked across sectors including non-profits, government, and corporate environments.

Her research interests emphasize multicultural counseling competencies, social justice advocacy, Arab-American communities' biopsychosocial health, and global youth workforce development.
