Sydney E Cason is a Research Fellow at the Yale School of Medicine in the Department of Neuroscience. Holding a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania (2022) and a BA in Neuroscience from DePauw University (2016), Cason focuses on unraveling the basic mechanisms underlying neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative diseases.
- Active member of the Yale Neuroscience Postdoc Committee (2023–Present)
- Member of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee at Yale (2023–Present)
Cason’s research integrates interdisciplinary approaches, including cell biology, to investigate disease pathways. In 2024, they received the Life Science Research Foundation Award for their work. Cason collaborates with the De Camilli Lab and contributes to initiatives at the Cellular Neuroscience, Neurodegeneration and Repair center. Contact: sydney.cason@yale.edu.
