Her research focuses on intergroup contact dynamics, prejudice reduction, and collective action. Key interests include the generalization of intergroup contact effects and the role of perceived outgroup entitativity in shaping these effects between majority and minority groups. She explores how positive and negative intergroup interactions influence social change and policy.
Neji’s recent work, including a 2025 publication in Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, examines entitativity’s moderating role in contact effects. She has also presented at numerous conferences, such as the European Association of Social Psychology (EASP) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Psychologie (DGPs).
Her teaching responsibilities include supervising bachelor theses. Current research extends to climate protection collective action, investigating subjective success criteria and emotional drivers in environmental advocacy.
