Hakan Çakmak is a PhD Researcher in Social Psychology at the University of Groningen’s Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences. His research focuses on understanding motivations behind advantaged group members’ pro- and anti-social behaviors toward disadvantaged groups, using quantitative methods. Key themes include solidarity-based collective action, intergroup conspiracy beliefs, and group-based norms. He is supervised by Prof. Ernestine Gordijn and Dr. Yasin Koç. Prior education includes an MSc in Political Psychology (University of Kent) and BA in Psychology (Bursa Uludağ University).
