Sybil Gotsch is an Associate Professor in the Department of Forestry and Natural Resources at the University of Kentucky's Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment. Her research integrates ecohydrology, plant physiology, and ecosystem ecology to study plant water relations and climate change impacts.
- Research Focus: Drought physiology in Tropical Montane Cloud Forests (Central/South America), hydrologic cycling in maritime forests (Coastal Georgia), and urban ecohydrology projects (2017-2022).
- Notable Achievements: Featured in PNAS Front Matter (2024), NSF-funded research (multiple grants since 2016), and published in Oecologia and American Journal of Botany (2022).
- Teaching: Courses in Tree Biology (FOR 245) and Forest Ecology (FOR 340) since Fall 2022.
