Sweta Sharma Saha is a Vice Chancellor's Research Fellow at Teesside University's School of Health and Life Sciences, leading the Teesside Oncology Research Program (TORCH) focused on ovarian cancer. She holds a PhD in Cancer Biology from the National Institute of Biomedical Genomics, India, and has conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Chicago and Newcastle University. Her research emphasizes translational cancer therapeutics, DNA damage response pathways, and immune regulation. She leads a collaborative team at the National Horizons Centre and has secured grants totaling over £200,000 from organizations like Boehringer Ingelheim, Sarissa Inc, and Newcastle University. Notable awards include the Sigal Immuno-oncology Award and ProBio Africa Fellowship.
