University of Texas Southwestern Medical Centerمعرفی
Dr. Debabrata Saha is an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He holds appointments in the Medical School and contributes to the Biomedical Engineering graduate program. His research focuses on radiation biology, therapeutic combinations (radiation/immunotherapy/nanomedicine), and preclinical models of cancer treatment. Dr. Saha earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (1997), preceded by M.Sc. (Biochemistry) and B.Sc. (Chemistry) from the University of Calcutta.
Research Interests:
- Radiation-induced DNA damage repair mechanisms
- Development of novel radiosensitizing nanoparticles
- Combination therapies: radiotherapy + immunotherapy/PD-1 inhibitors
- PULSAR paradigm (Personalized Ultrafractionated Stereotactic Adaptive Radiotherapy)
- Tumor microenvironment dynamics
His work bridges preclinical research with translational oncology, emphasizing advanced imaging (PET/CT/MRI) for treatment guidance and outcomes assessment. Key contributions include understanding tumor response to hypofractionated regimens and developing AI-driven models for therapy optimization.
