Dr. Swati Nagpal is a Senior Lecturer in Management at the Department of Management and Human Resources, La Trobe Business School, La Trobe University. She serves as the La Trobe Business School lead for the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME). Previously, she held the role of Director of Teaching Partnerships at the School. Her research focuses on corporate social responsibility, sustainability, ESG frameworks, and education for sustainability. She actively supervises PhD, Master’s, and MBA students aligned with these themes.
Dr. Nagpal holds a PhD and MBA from La Trobe University, and a Bachelor of Business Science from the University of Cape Town. She has designed curricula for online, blended, and intensive delivery modes, emphasizing student-centered teaching. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes engagement and has earned her multiple teaching awards. She collaborates on projects related to hybrid entrepreneurship, climate change responses, and sustainable procurement in universities.
Her research outputs span sustainability education integration, international student experiences in flipped classrooms, and organizational responses to climate change. She is actively involved in collaborative research projects such as 'Hybrid Entrepreneurship and Job Creation in a Covid World' (2022–2025). Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals 4 (Quality Education), 7 (Affordable Energy), 11 (Sustainable Cities), and 12 (Responsible Consumption).
Dr. Nagpal is available for media engagements, industry projects, and student supervision across research levels. She contributes to advancing responsible management education and sustainable development through her research, teaching, and institutional leadership roles.
