Dr. Quan Nguyen is a Lecturer in Entrepreneurship at the La Trobe Business School, La Trobe University, with nearly two decades of academic and industry experience. He holds a PhD from La Trobe University and an MBA from the Asian Institute of Technology. His primary roles include teaching entrepreneurship-related courses and advising on postgraduate programs in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. He is also involved in collaborative research projects, such as the 'Hybrid Entrepreneurship and Job Creation in a Covid World' initiative (2022–2025).
Dr. Nguyen’s research focuses on entrepreneurial ecosystems, university-driven entrepreneurship, and the role of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in transitional economies like Vietnam. He explores how universities can catalyze innovation and economic growth through accelerators and strategic partnerships. His work integrates microfoundational theories with organizational capabilities, particularly in the context of born-global firms and internationalization.
His teaching activities span subjects such as Analyse and Ideate, Business Entrepreneurship, and Sustainable Management and Marketing. He emphasizes practical, industry-linked education to bridge theoretical knowledge with real-world entrepreneurship challenges.
Dr. Nguyen collaborates widely, co-authoring studies with institutions like the Academy of International Business and QUT Business School. He is available for supervision of masters and PhD students in entrepreneurship and innovation.
