Svjetlana Ivanovic

Svjetlana Ivanovic is an Associate Professor in Intellectual Property and Industrial Property Law at the Faculty of Law, University of East Sarajevo. She holds a doctoral degree from the University of Kragujevac and has been a faculty member since 2007, specializing in copyright law, digital environment challenges, and AI legal implications. She teaches subjects like Intellectual Property Law and Information Society in postgraduate programs.

Dr. Ivanovic has authored/co-authored multiple publications, including a textbook on civil law and papers on topics like text and data mining under EU law, AI-generated works, and inheritance of copyright. She actively participates in legal drafting committees for intellectual property laws and is a member of professional associations like the Association of Lawyers of the Republic of Srpska.

Her research focuses on modern legal challenges in digital spaces, balancing copyright with free expression, and adapting traditional legal frameworks to emerging technologies. She serves in English and Russian and has presented at international conferences on transformative technologies and legal ethics.
