Svend Skriver is an Associate Professor in Literary Didactics at the Department of Nordic Studies and Linguistics, Faculty of Humanities, University of Copenhagen. He currently serves as Head of Studies for Literature in the Danish program and Deputy Head of Department for Education. His academic career spans over two decades with continuous affiliation to the University of Copenhagen since 2002.

His work bridges literary analysis with educational methodology, examining how literature is taught and interpreted. Administrative Leadership: Skriver chairs the University of Copenhagen Scholarship Board and serves on multiple committees including the Ministry of Education's Subject Board for Danish (A). He has led pedagogical initiatives to reduce student attrition and organized doctoral courses on academic teaching. His research management includes directing the Danish Subject Matter Studies group (2012-2021) and co-founding the Nordic Network for Danish Subject Matter Studies (DaDi).
