Lea Allouche is a Doctoral Research Fellow in Nordic Literature at the University of Oslo's Department of Linguistics and Scandinavian Studies (Faculty of Humanities). She holds a M.A. and B.A. in Danish literature and linguistics from the University of Copenhagen. Her research focuses on contemporary Scandinavian literature, particularly lyric poetry addressing minority voices, multilingualism, and social issues. Current projects include studies on activist poetry, pandemic narratives, and the intersection of race and identity in Nordic literary works.
Recent academic activities include visiting scholar positions at UC Berkeley (2023, funded by the Norwegian Research Council) and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (2022). She has presented papers on topics such as 'Minority Voices in Scandinavian Literature,' 'Negation in Burcu Sahin's Poetry,' and 'Multilingual Poetics in Shadi Angelina Bazeghi's Flowmatic.' Her work appears in journals like NORA and Nordiques, and she is affiliated with research groups including ERLIS and the Oslo Poetry Research Group. She has also organized academic events like the 2022 International Autumn School on Democracy at Humboldt University.
Key research interests include poetic witness, cultural hybridity, and the sociopolitical dimensions of Nordic literature. Her publications critically analyze contemporary works addressing racism, migration, and identity through innovative poetic forms.
