Sven Silburn is an Honorary Fellow at the Menzies School of Health Research and affiliated with Charles Darwin University. His work focuses on interdisciplinary research at the intersection of child development, public health, education, and social policy, particularly for Indigenous communities in Australia.
Research interests include:
- Health and education interdependence in early childhood development
- Impacts of welfare reform on Indigenous children’s health outcomes
- Epidemiological studies of suicide ideation and self-harm in Aboriginal populations
- Evaluation of resilience-building curricula for remote Aboriginal school students
