Her work includes evaluating web-based interventions for reducing methamphetamine use and investigating associations between drug use and mental health/risky behaviors. Recent grants include projects funded by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (2023–2025) focusing on Indigenous mental health and suicide prevention linked to alcohol and other drugs.
Key contributions include studies on khat dependence among African migrants and reviews of cannabis use in Indigenous populations. Her research emphasizes culturally sensitive approaches to drug policy and health promotion.
