Dr. Suzi Hong is a Professor at the University of California San Diego (UCSD), holding dual affiliations in the Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health & Human Longevity Science and the Department of Psychiatry. Her research focuses on the interplay between neuroendocrine pathways, immune cell activation, and inflammation, particularly in chronic conditions like hypertension and HIV. She leads NIH-funded studies investigating multi-system risk factors for cognitive outcomes in older adults and depression in under-resourced populations. Dr. Hong directs the UCSD Integrative Health and Mind-Body Biomarker Core, advancing cellular immunology methodologies.
