Suzanne Martindale is a Lecturer at Berkeley Law, teaching Student Loan Law since 2019. She also serves as Senior Deputy Commissioner for Consumer Financial Protection at the California Department of Financial Protection & Innovation (DFPI), appointed by Governor Gavin Newsom in 2021 to oversee the California Consumer Financial Protection Law (CCPFL).
