Suzanne Lalonde is a Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Montreal, where she has been affiliated since 1998. Her research focuses on Public International Law, Maritime Law, and Arctic Studies, with a particular emphasis on environmental protection and resource governance in polar regions.

She has supervised numerous graduate students on topics including:
