Suzanne Hagen is a Professor in Nursing and holds a personal Chair at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU), where she is Deputy Director (GCU) of the NMAHP Research Unit. She also serves as an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Nursing. Her research focuses on pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, and the methodology of complex interventions, including randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and systematic reviews. Hagen obtained her PhD from GCU in 2006 and has led over 19 research projects, including studies on pessary care for prolapse and pelvic floor muscle training. She has authored/co-authored 143 publications, with a recent focus on self-management strategies for pelvic organ prolapse and cost-effectiveness analyses of clinical interventions. Key honors include Chartered Statistician status (1997) and her role as a statistical editor for the Cochrane Incontinence Review Group.
