Lynn Melone

Lynn Melone serves as a Data Coordinator in the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professions at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU), where she joined in 2015 as a Nurse Researcher in the Safeguarding Health through Infection Prevention (SHIP) Research Group. She currently works on the TOPSY trial, a significant research project focused on pelvic organ prolapse management.

Dr. Melone's educational background includes an immunology degree from the University of Glasgow (2000), followed by nursing training (2004) and registration as a nurse from Glasgow Caledonian University (2007). Her career path progressed from clinical work in general and plastic surgery wards to research roles, including a Research Nurse position at the Glasgow Clinical Research Facility (2009) and project management of multisite clinical trials.

Her research focuses primarily on pelvic organ prolapse, with specific expertise in vaginal pessary management, self-care interventions, and comparative effectiveness of different care models.
