Carol Bugge is a Professor of Nursing at the School of Health and Life Sciences, Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) and holds an honorary position at the University of Stirling. With over 25 years of health-focused research experience, her work centers on women’s health and pelvic health, particularly pelvic organ prolapse and self-management interventions. She leads studies such as the NIHR-funded TOPSY trial, comparing self-management and clinic-based care for pessary users. Her research also explores qualitative methods and the transition from feasibility studies to main trials.
