Suzanne B. Weiner

Suzanne B. Weiner, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Integrated Medical Science at Florida Atlantic University's Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine since 2010. She previously held a voluntary faculty position at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine's Florida Atlantic University regional campus and spent nearly a decade in clinical practice as an internist in Boca Raton. Dr. Weiner currently serves as Co-Director of Year 4 Clerkships and actively teaches and advises medical students across all four curriculum years.

• Education: B.A. in Biological Basis of Behavior (Cum Laude) from University of Pennsylvania (1984), M.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine (1988), Internal Medicine Intern/Resident at New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical Center (1988-1991)

Her research focuses on medical education, particularly Year 4 curriculum development and assessment, learning communities, and mentoring systems to enhance medical student training. Her 2014 poster presentation at the AAMC SGEA conference demonstrated innovative approaches to competency-based portfolio learning for reflective practice development.

Scientific recognition includes:

Dr. Weiner maintains active clinical credentials as a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine and member of the American College of Physicians, while also contributing through volunteer clinical services at FAU health fairs and Caridad Clinic.
